Light metal, serious welds.
Aluminum welding and repair for boats, trailers, truck bodies, railings, ladders, tanks and fabricated parts, with the prep and filler this metal demands.
- Process: TIG, or MIG with a spool gun
- Prep: Remove oxide, clean, preheat thick
- Filler: Matched to the alloy

What it is, and why it matters.
Aluminum welds differently from steel. It carries a tough oxide layer, conducts heat away quickly and can crack or burn through if handled like steel. Good aluminum work depends on cleaning the oxide, choosing the right alloy filler and controlling heat.
We repair trailers, boat parts, truck bodies and railings in aluminum, using TIG or MIG with a spool gun, and fabricate new parts. Because some aluminum alloys are not weldable, we identify the alloy first and tell you if a weld repair is a good idea.
Four things done right.
Alloy identified
We check what it is before welding.
Oxide removed
Prep that lets the weld fuse.
Heat controlled
Avoid burn-through and distortion.
Honest about alloys
We say when welding is not wise.
From first call to aluminum welding.
- 01
Identify
Find the alloy and the damage.
- 02
Prep
Clean and remove oxide.
- 03
Weld
Right process and filler.
- 04
Finish
Clean and inspect the repair.

Aluminum Welding: common questions
Can all aluminum be welded?
No. Many common alloys weld well, but some high-strength alloys crack when welded. We identify the alloy and tell you honestly whether a weld repair will be reliable.
Why is aluminum welding more expensive?
It needs more prep, specialized equipment and filler, and skill to avoid burn-through. The time and materials make it cost more than similar steel work.
How do I get a price for aluminum welding?
Fill in the form or call or text 615-209-7643, ideally with a photo. We confirm what is involved and send a written price, and larger jobs get a free site visit.
Ready to talk about aluminum welding?
A photo or a free visit, and a written price. A real person calls back, usually the same day.
